Healthy Granola Bars
These granola bars are soft and chewy. They're not your typical sugary treat, but they make a good snack. I have a feeling kids would gobble these down without so much as a clue that they're a healthy snack.
A Couple of Things: This recipe is super quick and easy. One batch makes about 5 bars so if you want more I recommend doubling the recipe, which works out well.
Ingredients:
1 Cup Quick Cook Oats
3 Tbsp. Applesauce, Unsweetened
1/2 tsp. Vanilla
3 Tbsp. Agave Nectar
2 Tbsp. Vegan Chocolate Chips (or regular if you prefer)
1 Tbsp. Sugar
Process:
Preheat the oven to 325(F).
Put all ingredients into a medium mixing bowl.
Stir with a wooden spoon or spatula until everything is fully incorporated.
Lightly grease a bread pan.
Pack the mixture firmly into the bread pan.
Bake 20-25 minutes, until firm and golden around the edges.
Let cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes.
Transfer to cutting board, cut into bars or triangles.
When completely cooled store in an airtight container.
Enjoy!
